So proud of this girl. Juno decided she wanted to play softball this year. She jumped right in, both feet first, playing a team sport for the first time, on a team where she didn’t know anyone. Much to my surprise, she also decided that she wanted to be a pitcher. Because of rain, travel, and conflicting spring break schedules, she has only played one game so far this season – but she was the starting pitcher! Even struck out a few girls, and got a hit, to boot!
This is our first experience with the Oakland Girls Softball League, and I am truly impressed. The level of coaching for all age groups is amazing – they are serious, and they get the girls to focus on technique and teamwork, but with the primary goal of having fun. I am proud to be a sponsor of the league this year, and I am looking forward to seeing some great softball this spring (now that the rain has stopped) and for years to come.
Go Crushers!
